Alkaptonuria Society

The Alkaptonuria Society transforms the lives of Alkaptonuria (AKU) affected individuals through support, community building and medical research. 

Living with AKU can be challenging, with loss of mobility and pain affecting individuals’ physical and mental health. The AKU Society provides support to affected individuals and their families, helping them come to terms with their diagnosis and with how to best manage their condition.
