What the internship will involve
The Public Affairs Intern will have the opportunity to work with members of the policy team to support Genetic Alliance UK in the development of our public affairs activities and gather evidence that will feed into our policy work. Genetic Alliance UK informs and influences policy and practice to drive change that will improve the lives of people affected by genetic conditions.
An important component of Genetic Alliance UK’s ongoing policy work is supporting the Rare Disease UK campaign. You can find out more about the campaign here.
We are looking for an intern who can support the policy team in maintaining relationships with parliamentarians and to help raise awareness of rare diseases in Parliament – in particular working with the All Party Parliamentary Group on Rare, Genetic and Undiagnosed conditions.
