WEBINAR: IMPACT OF A NO DEAL BREXIT ON HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE
Last Reviewed 26/09/2018
By Dr Jayne Spink and Nick Meade
The Health and Social Care Committee will be holding an inquiry into the impact on health and social care of leaving the European Union without a withdrawal agreement (commonly referred to as a ‘no deal’ Brexit).
For the next few weeks, the Committee is inviting written submissions from all interested parties on what impact a no deal Brexit is likely to have on patients and the health and social care system. Submissions will be accepted until Monday 15 October 2018.
This presents a great opportunity to raise awareness of the issues affecting rare disease patients and families, and make sure they are heard in upcoming Brexit negotiations. As a no deal Brexit is likely to have a large impact on our members, we are holding a webinar to help our members respond to the inquiry.
On Wednesday 3 Oct at 12:30, our Director of Policy, Nick Meade, and Chief Executive, Dr Jayne Spink, discussed how you can constructively contribute to this consultation, and answered our members’ questions on Brexit and rare diseases.
