We encourage UK taxpayers to claim Gift Aid when donating your own money to us by completing the Gift Aid declaration on our donation page. If you are sending us a cheque, we will still be able to claim Gift Aid. To allow us to claim Gift Aid, each individual making a donation must declare in writing that they are a UK taxpayer and provide his or her name and address including post code.
If you become aware of fraudulent use of your card, or if it is lost or stolen, you must notify your card provider.
Under charity law, charities are not permitted to refund donations, other than in specific circumstances. The Charities Act 2011 can be found here: https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2011/25/contents.
However, there may be an occasion when you need to speak to our fundraising team to discuss your donation. Please email us at [email protected]create new email or give us a call on 020 7831 0883. This applies to fundraising for Genetic Alliance UK, Rare Disease UK, and SWAN UK.
