Celebrating Lives

Giving in memory of a loved one or to mark a special occasion are two very special ways you can honour the most important people in your lives and support the work of Genetic Alliance UK. Your donations will support our mission for faster diagnosis, better coordinated care, greater awareness among health professionals, and access to treatment for people living with rare, genetic, and undiagnosed conditions in the UK.

Giving in memory

Celebrating a loved one through in memory giving is a powerful way to remember their life and can be a beautiful, lasting tribute during a difficult time.

Some people choose to collect in memory donations directly as part of a funeral collection in lieu of flowers, or  create an in-memoriam fundraising page. Others simply ask for loved ones to donate directly to us, as a way of remembering the life of a loved one.

However you decide to donate in memory of your loved one, the decision to do so is greatly appreciated by us.

Giving in celebration

From birthdays to retirement parties, anniversaries to weddings, you’ll enjoy your special day even more knowing that you’re making a difference to the lives of the 3.5 million people in the UK with a rare condition.

You can ask friends and family to donate directly to us, create JustGiving fundraising pages for Genetic Alliance UK, our national awareness campaign Rare Disease UK and the SWAN UK support community, as well as Facebook and Instagram fundraisers for SWAN UK.
